Don’t let the outside fool you! At first glance, it looks a little small but the inside is full of amazing food and service. We are visiting and they had good reviews. The portions are big. The bread was fresh, soft and hot! The Greek salad came with a great homemade dressing. We did the deboned chicken and it was delicious and fresh! Sammy was so nice and said if we didn’t like anything to let him know and he would replace it. Well… we LOVED everything! Highly recommend if you’re in the area!

I can not understate how great this restaurant is. Firstly is the bread that we were given to start which tasted divine with the sauce that was provided. Next comes the lentil soup and meat. Don’t even get me started on how they command their spices and the amount of food. One order of one of their Sahara combos could feed about 5 people (we had 3 people so we had to take leftovers home). It is a wonderful restaurant with an incredibly funny and nice server. 5 starts.

What an amazing place to eat after visiting the Henry Ford Museum of American Innovation! The fresh-baked bread is absolutely out of this world. I had the shish kabob platter, which was perfectly cooked and full of flavor, and the lentil soup was hands down the best I’ve ever had. Everything was fresh, delicious, and generously portioned. What really made the experience stand out, though, was how incredibly kind and friendly the owners were. They were wonderful to talk to and made us feel genuinely welcome from the moment we walked in. If you’re in the area, I definitely recommend stopping by—you won’t be disappointed!

I can’t say enough amazing things about Sahara Restaurant — it’s truly one of my all-time favorites. I’ve been coming here for years, and the quality, flavor, and hospitality have always been consistently incredible. The food is absolutely delicious every single time — fresh, flavorful, and made with so much care. You can really taste the difference. But what makes this place even more special is the people. Sam, the owner, is such a kind and genuine person who goes above and beyond to make everyone feel welcome. I even had Sahara cater my bridal shower for the sandwiches, and they absolutely exceeded expectations. Everything was perfect, and so many of my guests couldn’t stop raving about the food. If you’re looking for amazing food and a place that truly values its customers, Sahara is it. Highly, highly recommend!

Overall a solid choice for dinner. Some items were better than others but overall was quite good. Fattoush salad was ok. Fresh bread, hummus, and garlic sauce were very good. Grape leaves were ok and got better with the garlic sauce. Shish combo with chicken and beef was very good with generous portions. Rice was average. Worth a stop if you are in the area as you get a lot of food for the money here.
